Recently, The Desk Set held a Mardi Gras-themed book drive and fundraiser to benefit the A.P. Tureaud school in the 7th ward of New Orleans.
While the event was successful for a stormy Tuesday night, the school still needs plenty of books - including a personal favorite of mine, The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
The books are all reasonably priced. For less than $10, you can get a book into the hands of a student in New Orleans. To donate books online, visit the wishlist. You might even get a hand-written thank you note from a grateful student!
